Moving house!

We found out yesterday that the tenants in the parental rental are moving out in a couple of weeks, so we’ve handed in our notice to terminate the lease here & we’ll be moving back to the house The Bubble was born at very soon.

We’re thrilled. Hello lower rent. Hello freedom to grow whatever we want in the garden. Hello chook run. Hello drilling holes in the walls. Hello painting, new kitchen, new laundry etc. (eventually). Goodbye rent inspections. Goodbye property manager on a power trip!!

We’re really looking forward to getting back into some backyard food production & general sustainability bits.

Time to start packing and purging material stuff we no longer need.

I’m jealous 🙂 My parent’s rental’s lease isn’t up until July next year. I can’t wait for the freedom to put in a chicken run and a sprawling vegie garden! Have fun purging!

      Hi Katrine 🙂
The lease on Mum’s rental isn’t up until late Jan next year but she told them that she couldn’t renew the lease when it ended so if they found another home they liked before then she’d not penalise them for breaking the lease. Luckily they’ve found something now so we don’t have to wait until January like we though we’d have to.
It was a sudden and welcome surprise. Perfect timing also because our lease here officially ends and becomes a periodic lease just one week before we’ll be moving.

When we lived there before we had put a lot of work into the garden and left before we could really appreciate the fruits of our labour, so we’re looking forward to getting it up and running again. Life has been less fun without our vegie garden and our chooks.

I hope your wait isn’t agonisingly long.

Thanks for taking the time to let me know you've visited.
